OHLA USA's challenge

Due to the remote nature of the hiring manager role, it can be challenging for recruiters to get feedback on a candidate interview. With 40+ open roles at any given time, and several candidates and interviews per role, chasing down hiring managers for feedback across all the hiring touchpoints is timeconsuming. 

OHLA USA's approach

OHLA USA leveraged the iCIMS and Microsoft Teams integration to allow recruiters to build interview feedback forms within the Teams platform and push directly to hiring managers. Hiring managers can then fill out the form and even interview candidates within Teams and receive feedback live. 

“With Microsoft Teams, I don’t have to force my hiring team to log into an unknown application they’ve never used before,” said Amanda Maldonado, former recruiter at OHLA USA, who added that it allowed her to interact with her hiring team in their workflow. “I’m not adding additional meetings to their calendar, which can be difficult to schedule given how frequently our managers are on job sites.”  

The OHLA USA team loves how Microsoft Teams is mobile friendly and lets them respond to interview feedback on the go.  

OHLA USA's approach

OHLA USA recruiters were also able to streamline their workflow by connecting their iCIMS Applicant Tracking System to LinkedIn RSC. That integration allowed recruiters to easily source candidates and export their top picks directly into a specific iCIMS job with just one click (and say good-bye to the time-consuming task of adding them manually). 

OHLA USA can now filter and prioritize candidates within the ATS who’ve previously applied for jobs. Recruiters can also see using the LinkedIn integration if those previous applicants were in the process of pursuing other opportunities at OHLA USA, which helps avoid duplicating outreach.  

To do my job as a recruiter well, I need to be able to effectively collaborate with my hiring managers and hiring teams. This can be a challenge when the hiring team consists of construction managers and field engineers who are always on the go and out of the office.
