As chief financial officer at iCIMS, Marc Thompson brings extensive experience in scaling software businesses through financial operations and capitalization strategies. Thompson oversees iCIMS’ financial strategy and operations and supports the company’s global growth plans.
Thompson has more than 30 years of corporate finance, investment banking and private equity experience and a track record of driving financial and operational excellence across both private and public companies. Prior to iCIMS, he served as CFO at EverCommerce, a leading provider of SaaS solutions for service SMBs, and supported the company’s growth initiatives, drove its capitalization strategy and oversaw the finance and accounting organizations. He led the company through its successful IPO and execution of more than 50 acquisitions.
Previously, he served as co-head of Investment Banking at Oppenheimer & Co, where he formed the Software & Services team, which included an HCM sector focus, that executed more than 120 financing and M&A transactions valued at more than $15 billion.
Thompson holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.
