EagleView Technologies provides geospatial software, aerial imagery and analytics for insurance, solar and government properties. Director of Global Talent Amanda Rominger needed a platform that could manage the complexity of hiring candidates with niche skills, such as engineers and software developers, on a global scale.
“We need to tell candidates why they should come to EagleView instead of going to a larger company,” Rominger said, explaining that EagleView strives to fill roles from the same talent pool as the biggest names in tech.
Responsible for filling roles for offices in India, Australia, Canada and the United States, Rominger needed an ATS that could configure recruiting workflows by location and define rules and permissions at the user level. “The reporting feature was a huge selling point for me, as well as the ability to work globally,” she said.

“We’re extremely efficient now,” she said. “We’re able to print reports out as soon as someone asks. I can get them whatever they need. I’m able to teach hiring managers how to self-serve and how to prepare requisitions themselves. We eliminated the need for an HR admin. I didn’t need someone to create a requisition. All of those things, the system takes care of for us.”
By using the analytics dashboards within iCIMS, Rominger can report on the impact her team has on the business.
“I jokingly say that my first year at EagleView was my ‘apology tour.’ I had to apologize for everything that had happened before me saying, ‘I’ll fix it!’” said Rominger. iCIMS on-demand analytics dashboards help her identify effective hiring sources and assess days to fill and time to hire, neither of which was possible before.

EagleView needed a better way to help pilot candidates imagine themselves at the controls of an EagleView aircraft. To help, Rominger asked employees to record video testimonials using iCIMS Video Studio.
“We’ve had several pilots talk in their interviews about how they appreciated the video because they got to see a day in the life of a pilot. They knew what to expect,” she said. ”Now job descriptions come to life. Video studio has been a real game changer for us, especially when hiring for niche roles that don’t come to life through bullet points.”
With Video Studio, candidate applications are up by 5.5%.
